How can "custom tied flies" be custom tied if they are tied before you order them?

A custom tied fly is tied to your needs and specifications... not designed for mass production. After over 50 years of fly tying, my mission has always been to tie flies "your way".

If you are looking for mass produced tied flies then you have probably landed on the wrong website. Pro Flies Unlimited is a pure custom fly tying on-line retail shop.

What does the word “custom” really mean when I refer it to fly tying? I define it as tying flies in a particular way, for a specific type of fly fishing and for a particular person.

You will see many “example” flies on my website for style. Not everyone wants a custom tied fly. Buy from me, and you will get my version of a fly pattern and how it should be properly constructed.

Poorly tied flies using inferior material are not an option in my world. I use only the best materials because you deserve it, period. My flies are designed to help you consistently catch more fish.

In 1979, Joe’s Fly and Rod Building Shop closed it’s doors. Many of my past customers have asked me to revive the shop and open again. On August 01, 2022 Joe’s Fly and Rod Building Shop has been reborn.. This shop is going to be a very unique fly and rod building shop. The fly shop will be focused on the fly tier and the materials the fly tier needs. I will specialize in unique dubbing blends, the highest quality fly tying materials and hard to find fly tying materials and supplies. I will offer no tools or gadgets to the fly tier.
